The Honeywell HHT-011 Compact Air Purifier is fantastic choice for anyone wanting clean air in any room up to 85 feet in size. It is compact with a permenant HEPA-TYPE filter that will eliminate as much as 99 percent of all microscopic particlces including pollen, smoke, dusk, pet dander and mold spores. Also, the independently controlled ionizer will release negetive ions into air passing through the filter. These negative ions then lach onto tiny airborne particles, forming bigger particles that are ready to be removed by the filter system. The system also includes a washable pre-filter.

After slaving for MONTHS of researching the best air cleaner at an afforable price. I had purchased the Honeywell 50250. It is an excellent machine and at such an afforable price. It is comparable to the $400-500 models. At first I was a little taken back by the size but was amazed at how well it cleaned the air. It is really easy to install and change filters – I can do it with one hand. Also filters are very inexpensive and only need to be changed every 3 months or so depending on your environment. The size is misconceiving beause it very light weight and has the easy handle on top (another plus). I travel from room to room, I can hold my baby in one hand and the air cleaner in another. It also has 3 different levels (for example at night I have it on the lowest level called sleep mode). And most important the sealed Hepa Lifetime filter so no need for expensive replacements. Also has 360 airflow which comes out from the top of the machine, it doesn’t blow dirt or dust from the floor up into the air. And filter monitors called intelli-check, which lights up when a filter needs to be changed (no guess work or lookign at a calendar). Also 99.97% germ reduction and 5 year warranty. I also want to tell everyone that this machine is approved by the National Allergy.

This unit is amazing for yanking dust and such out of the air and making it go away. I’m not inclined to complain about the noise it makes, because the only way this thing can live up to its claim of being able to recirculate the air in a large room 6 times per hour is to move a *lot* of air, over a *large* space, and do it *fast*. Outside of a ceiling fan (which is a lot bigger) there is simply no other way to do it than with a blower that you’re going to hear.

One reviewer said it sounded like a floor blower (or something like that). Well, it blows at an upward diagonal, but in terms of air volume it may come close. It has to, to get the whole room to circulate back to the unit and get sucked in. Want your room’s air cleaned for *real*? Grab one of these. I used a Honeywell 13500 for over 10 years before it finally died and the 50250 took its place. No regrets.

The Honeywell HFD-120-Q is one of the best air purifiers that I have ever used. Considering the price, it really is an amazing deal. The Honeywell HFD-120-Q has three speeds, which are really nice. I can turn it on low when I’m trying to sleep or put it on high when I don’t need it to be quiet. Since I keep it in my room, the variable speed is a must have feature. It also has washable filters, which is really nice since I don’t have to constantly buy expensive filters. It even tells me when I need to clean them too, and cleaning them is really easy and only takes a few minutes.

The Honeywell HFD-120-Q has a 3 stage air purification system, and let me tell you, it works. Before I got the Honeywell HFD-120-Q, I was constantly coughing and had really bad allergies, and now they are almost completely gone. I would cough up mucous all the time, and now I never do. It seems like I even improved my mile time since I don’t cough as much when I’m running anymore. It apparently can support rooms up to 170 square feet rooms, which is nice because I can move it to my living room when I need to. It also oscillates which helps spread the clean air around.

I have used many other air purifiers, and I have never had as much success as I have had with this. They either are loud, large, ugly, or have expensive filters. This one is small, sexy, and it even has reusable filters. It really is the perfect air filter, and since it is so important to have clean air, I think the Honeywell HFD-120-Q is worth it. It’s even priced cheaply, which is really nice.

…There are many claims for and against the Ionic Breeze. I’m still undecided on how effective it is — but I feel almost the same way about my large HEPA filter. I found myself running both of them to control my allergies. Although I cleaned them regularly and found dust on both, I can’t say the air was particularly different. However, shortly after turning this on in the bedroom for the first time, I could smell a difference. I haven’t had it long enough to say it’s made a real dent in my allergies — plus the fact that my allergies are intermittant — but I’m pleased that I even notice it…

I’ve had this machine almost eight months, I do find that I have to clean the filter a couple of times a month rather than once a month but that may be because I live in the city. Even so, this is a lot cheaper than replacing filters every two weeks and it is extraordinarily easy to clean the filter for this Honeywell purifier. It does seem to have helped with my daughter’s severe allergies, though not entirely alleviated her discomfort. However, given that my daughter’s allergies can incapacitate her or send her to the doctor, this is still an amazing change. A person with regular allergies might have an even better result.

They call it QuietCare… It’s not all that quiet. I mean, it’s throwing out a serious amount of air, and like any fan, it makes noise. Don’t expect this to be silent, because it’s not. Otherwise though, I find it to be quite nice as an air cleaner. Ultimately, it is easy to replace the filter. You simply twist a knob, remove the filter, add the new one, and tighten the knob. Even my grandma could do it…
